What Do You Need for a Custom Compact Mirror Quote? A Fill-In Checklist

To request a custom compact mirror quote, send six essentials: a product reference, quantity, logo or artwork requirements, packaging preference, delivery destination and required arrival date. If a detail is undecided, mark it as “please recommend” rather than guessing. A custom compact mirror supplier can use this brief to identify the information still needed before confirming a quotation.
You do not need a complete technical specification to start a conversation. You do need to distinguish confirmed requirements from options you are still comparing.
The six essentials for your first inquiry
| Detail | What to send | If you have not decided |
|---|---|---|
| Product reference | CHOIZIN product link or SKU, a marked photo, or a description of the format and intended use | Share the use, target customer and preferred size; ask for suitable models |
| Quantity | Total units and the split by model, color and artwork | Provide a realistic range and ask which quantities can be evaluated |
| Logo or artwork | File or preview, approximate size, position and desired effect | Send what you have and ask what is needed for a production-ready file |
| Packaging | Single item or set; protective, retail or gift presentation; branding and insert needs | Explain how the mirror will be sold or distributed |
| Destination | Country and delivery city or postal code; warehouse requirements if known | State the country first and request a freight estimate subject to the final address |
| Required arrival date | Date the goods must reach your warehouse or event location | State the launch or event date and ask for a feasible schedule |
1. Identify the product and the changes you need
For an existing model, send its link or SKU and say what you want to keep or change. A useful note might be: “Use this folding model; add our logo to the lid; please recommend individual packaging.”
If you are developing a new direction, provide reference images and explain the role of each one. One image may show the shape, another the finish, and another the packaging. Mark those differences so the request is not interpreted as an exact specification for every visible feature.
Add the closed dimensions, shell material, color, mirror configuration and opening style when these are important to the project. Distinguish the shell material from the reflective mirror material. For a double-sided mirror, state the required regular and magnifying sides, or ask for available configurations for that model.
For help narrowing down the product, read our compact mirror material comparison and magnification guide.
2. Break the quantity down by version
“1,000 mirrors” is a starting point, but it does not explain whether the order has one design or several versions. Specify the number of units for each model, color and artwork.
For example, a hypothetical 1,000-unit request could mean one model in two colors, 500 units per color, with the same logo. It could also mean four different designs of 250 units each. These are different production briefs, and availability, setup and minimum quantities need separate confirmation.
If your quantity is flexible, ask for quotations at two or three quantities you could actually order. For more background, see the MOQ, sampling and lead-time guide.
3. Show where and how the branding should appear
Send your available logo or artwork file, plus a marked image showing the intended position and approximate dimensions. Identify whether branding is needed on the lid, back, pouch, box, card or several components.
An editable vector file can help with logos and line artwork; photographs and full-color patterns may need different source files. The selected decoration process and artwork area determine the final file requirements. A file extension alone does not establish whether a design is ready for production.
Provide a color reference if matching matters, and explain the desired effect: a printed color logo, engraved mark, pressed finish or full-cover pattern. If you do not know which method fits, ask for a recommendation. Artwork, surface compatibility and the sample result must be reviewed before the production decoration is confirmed.
Compare options in the logo method guide.
4. Include packaging and assembly in the brief
Say whether the mirror is a standalone retail item, a promotional giveaway or part of a set. Then list the packaging elements you need evaluated: individual protection, pouch or box, insert, printed card, barcode label and outer-carton requirements.
Also explain who will assemble the finished pack. Putting the mirror into a pouch, inserting a card, applying a label and assembling a gift set are distinct requirements. Do not assume they are all included in the product unit price.
If the packaging is undecided, write: “Please recommend a protective option and a branded gift option for this model.” Availability, dimensions, minimum quantities and costs should be confirmed for each proposal.
See packaging for custom compact mirrors for the selection questions.
5. Separate arrival date from factory dispatch
Tell CHOIZIN where the order must arrive and when. “Ready to ship by 1 June” and “delivered to our warehouse by 1 June” describe different milestones.
Include the destination country, city or postal code, delivery type and any warehouse labeling or booking requirements. State a preferred shipping method if you have one. Otherwise, ask which options can be evaluated against your budget and arrival deadline.
Freight estimates depend on the final packed quantity, carton dimensions, weight, destination and shipping arrangement. Ask the quotation to identify what shipping and destination charges are included or excluded.
6. Add budget and project-specific requirements
A target budget helps narrow the options. Say whether it covers the mirror only, the mirror with packaging, or the total delivered project. Include the currency and identify which features are essential and which are flexible.
If your retailer or destination market requires specific testing, documentation, labels or warnings, provide the exact requirement or buyer specification. Do not assume that one report applies to every material, model or market. Sample requirements and applicable checks should be confirmed for the selected project.

What if you only have an idea?
Start with your intended use, estimated quantity, reference image, budget scope and required arrival date. Clearly label the product, branding and packaging decisions that still need recommendations.
That brief supports an initial discussion. It is not the same as an approved production specification. Review any assumptions in the quotation, then confirm the artwork, product and packaged sample as applicable before authorizing production. Our ordering guide explains the wider process.
Frequently asked questions
Can I request a quote without a finished logo file?
Yes. Send a preview or describe the branding requirement, and explain that the final file is pending. Decoration feasibility, artwork preparation and any related costs still need confirmation.
Do I need to choose the packaging before asking?
No. Describe how the product will be sold or distributed and request packaging options. A quote should identify which packaging, printing and assembly it includes.
Can I compare several models in one inquiry?
Yes. List each model separately with its quantity and customization requirements. Ask for a clear price and specification breakdown rather than one unexplained blended unit price.
Is a quotation the final production approval?
No. A quotation establishes a commercial and specification basis subject to its terms. Confirm the required artwork, sample, packaging and approval records before production.
